Little Woods Shop

An artisan tea and spice shop, Little Woods is located in the heart of downtown Ames. Our tea and spice blends are a fusion of the co-owners passion for herbs & teas. Founded in 2013 by husband-wife team Kristin M Roach and Jason Shaw, Little Woods Herbal has grown from a small online botanical seller and farmer’s market stand to a brick and mortar apothecary style tea & spice shop.

We specialize in our own unique botanical blends that bring herbalist traditions to the home through tea and culinary spices. Using whole botanical ingredients without the use of any fillers, flavors, or additives we create the freshest, tastiest blends you can find outside your own garden.

At the shop you'll find: Brewed tea hot or iced, nitro cold brew tea on tap during the summer, and our own fresh baked scones; bulk herbs, spices, & loose leaf teas by the ounce & pound; original tea & spice blends; apothecary supplies, tea ware, and new & used books on all things herbs & teas.

Stop by the tasting bar for to go service or to pick up artisan grade teas and spices to stock and elevate your pantry to gourmet levels.
